Amy Massie, MS, LPC

Amy Massie, MS, LPC, is a compassionate and experienced clinician dedicated to supporting children and families in overcoming developmental and behavioral challenges. With over 25 years of experience in diverse settings—ranging from private practice to public and private schools, and medical environments such as The Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities—Amy provides a holistic, individualized approach to therapy. Specializing in working with young children facing emotional and behavioral obstacles, she places a strong emphasis on parent coaching and family support to create lasting, positive change.

Amy’s journey into the field began during her undergraduate studies at Texas Tech University, where she worked as an in-home behavior therapist for Lubbock ISD. This hands-on experience ignited her passion for helping children navigate their challenges, and she later earned a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Southwest in 2019. After completing three years of supervised practice, she became a fully Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas in 2022.

Understanding that parental involvement is key to successful therapy, Amy works closely with parents to provide coaching and support throughout the therapeutic process. Her approach includes helping parents understand the underlying causes of their child’s behaviors, equipping them with practical tools for managing challenges, and creating personalized plans to foster positive, lasting change. In addition to her work with children, Amy is deeply experienced in supporting parents through divorce and separation, helping them navigate the emotional complexities of co-parenting and ensuring that the best interests of their children remain at the forefront.

Amy’s ability to provide both individualized therapy for children and parental support makes her uniquely equipped to guide families through difficult transitions, behavioral challenges, and emotional hurdles. She believes that healing is most effective when families work together, and she is committed to helping them restore balance and improve their relationships.
Outside of her professional work, Amy values maintaining a healthy work-life balance. She enjoys Pilates, mindful meditation, and spending time with family and friends. Passionate about self-care, she also enjoys traveling, reading, gardening, and camping to recharge and stay focused.

Amy is dedicated to helping children and families thrive and looks forward to partnering with you on your journey toward a happier, more balanced life.
